Proper preparation, application, and aftercare can help reduce uneven results, dark patches, transfer, and fading.
Self-Tanning Results
Self-tanning results may vary from person to person.
Your final result can be affected by:
- natural skin tone
- skin type and skin condition
- dry areas or uneven skin texture
- exfoliation and shaving routine
- moisturization before and after application
- amount of product applied
- application method
- development time
- aftercare routine
Areas such as hands, feet, ankles, knees, elbows, and dry patches may absorb more color than other areas. Areas with hyperpigmentation or darker spots may also appear darker after application.
For best results, follow the product instructions carefully and avoid over-applying product to dry or darker areas.
Patch Test
We recommend performing a patch test before using any cosmetic product fully, especially if you have sensitive or reactive skin.
Apply a small amount of product to a discreet area of skin and wait 24 hours. If irritation, redness, itching, burning, or discomfort occurs, discontinue use.
Skin Sensitivity
Do not apply self-tanning products to broken, irritated, sunburned, freshly exfoliated, freshly shaved, or inflamed skin.
If you have sensitive skin, eczema-prone skin, allergies, or a known skin condition, consult a healthcare professional before use.
Discontinue use if irritation or discomfort occurs.
Sun Protection
Bronze’ self-tanning products do not protect against sunburn or UV exposure unless SPF protection is specifically stated on the product label.
A self-tan does not replace sunscreen.
When exposed to the sun, use appropriate sun protection and follow sunscreen instructions.
External Use Only
Our products are for external use only.
Avoid contact with eyes, lips, and mucous membranes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
Keep products out of reach of children.
Do not ingest.
Color Transfer
Although our products are designed to be easy to use, color transfer may occur before the product is fully absorbed, dry, or developed.
To reduce transfer risk:
- allow the product to dry before dressing
- avoid tight or light-colored clothing immediately after application
- avoid sweating, swimming, or showering during the recommended development period
- wash hands after application or use an application mitt
Bronze’ is not responsible for staining caused by incorrect use, over-application, or failure to follow product instructions.
Product Storage
Store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and excessive humidity.
Do not use the product if it appears damaged, contaminated, has an unusual odor, or has changed significantly in texture or appearance.
